چکیده

Background: Craniomaxillofacial (CMF) injuries has different patterns from simple to complicated ones. Surgeons usually spend time and effort planning the optimal surgical approach avoid damage vital structures that could otherwise lead functional deficits. It is also imperative optimize skin incisions unfavourable scarring. The aim of this work assess effectiveness efficiency virtual (VSP) application in management types CMF traumas, advantages, disadvantages VSP, accuracy three dimensional (3D) measures as a preoperative tool. Methods: This prospective consecutive series study enrolled 30 patients presented with trauma. All were subjected CT scans. obtained Digital imaging communications Medicine (DICOM) files imported into software for planning. Results: actual operative (OT) after VSP was significantly lower than expected by traditional methods (p=0.008). There no significant difference between number incisions. very close postoperatively. functional, anatomic reduction patient satisfaction outcomes satisfying surgeon respectively. Conclusions: can be valuable tool optimizing aesthetic trauma surgery. accurate measurements pre-operatively helped reducing minimizing need subsequent revision surgeries.
